As is shown in the shocking picture, two tourists are siting on a boat, chatting and eating while throwing their rubbish into the lake with littler and waste floating on it. The drawing sets us into thinking its far-reaching implication.
The symbolic meaning conveyed by the picture is that some people in our life still lack the awareness of environmental protection, thus such unpleasant scene can be seen occasionally, especially in scenic spots. Why does this arise? Many factors account for it. First and foremost, there is still a long way to go for environmental conservation, since it needs time before all the people autonomously have the awareness of protecting environment and apply it to routine life. Some may not think it a big deal to throw rubbish everywhere. In addition, the environmental management system isn’t so perfect. For example, in some places constraining regulations are in absence, if any, and the implementation still lacks enforcement.
From what has been discussed above, it is urgent to take some immediate and effective measures. On one hand, we should continue to expand promotions in communities and schools so as to bring people into realization of the importance of protecting environment. On the other hand, more rules should be made and carried out by authorities concerned to restrain environmental damage. People must work in joint efforts to create sustainable surroundings.
