1、定語從句在寫作中的應用
①作定語，表達“的”，修飾名詞或代詞（有時候也修飾整個主句或主句的一部分）
例：
Men who always live in comfortable circumstances can not weather the hardships of life.
As the saying goes, nothing in the world is difficult for one who sets his mind to it.
Independence offers many advantages, the foremost of which is self-determination.
Practice：請用這樣的定語從句句式，依照2016，2013和2011的真題素材，分別寫三個定語從句。
②表達邏輯關系，起狀語作用，表示時間、地點、原因、結果、讓步、目的、假設等邏輯關系，在寫作中，如遇到需表明句間邏輯關系時，可用定語從句來呈現(xiàn)。
例：
The picture indicates that a culture of one nation may become international, which is beneficial to all the human beings.(結果狀語）
The widespread false ads undermine the trust between enterprises and customers, which will, in the long run, hinder the rapid economic development of our country.(結果狀語）
Harmonious neighborhood relation is of necessity, which can make people’s common living environment more peaceful.(原因狀語）
Practice：請用這樣的定語從句句式，依照2016，2013和2011的真題素材，分別寫三個定語從句。
2、定語從句常見的錯誤
①定語從句主謂一致
It indicates that our lives are like racing games, which require unrelenting, unceasing efforts.
All those who commits uncivilized deeds in public places must be condemned morally, fined economically and sanctioned legally.
②關系詞選擇錯誤
Juvenile delinquency is not the only problem which child abuse and neglect presents.
當先行詞由all, some, any, no, much或the first, the only, the very等詞修飾時，只能用that引導定語從句。
The sun gives us as much energy every minute which mankind utilizes in a year.
當先行詞由as much/many, such所修飾時，定語從句只能用as引導。
③介詞搭配錯誤
定語從句中有種結構是“介詞+關系代詞”
在這種結構中，介詞搭配分為三種情況：與現(xiàn)行詞搭配，與定語從句中的動詞搭配以及根據句子意思搭配。
The chance to which we have been longing has come at last.(與動詞搭配)
The 21st century is the century of the Chinese people, at which China will develop into one of the powers in the world.(介詞應與先行詞the 21st century 搭配，in表示在……時間段，at表示在……時間點）
I devised some plans from which we can solve the problem.(表示憑借的介詞是by，from表示來自，來源）
