What vivid pictures they are! The first one depicts that the father is watching TV with a cigarette in his hand, commanding his son to study carefully, while the second one presents a different situation in which the father and his son are both concentrating on their studies. The caption under the carton reads: “It is better to set an example than to make demands”.
There is no denying the fact that good examples should be given deep consideration in parents’ daily life. To begin with, it is easy to figure out that taking actions to guide children is the best way to fulfill parents’ responsibility. The parents have exerted about 80% influence on the education of the kids. If they never take action to do something, the children will never have a real guide to follow. It goes with no exaggeration to say that: “Like father, like son”. A wise father will do his endeavor to be a good example for his kids.
In a word, I believe, as long as parents give their kids instructions by self-practicing, their kids will surely follow suit. They should enhance the awareness that parents’ action speaks louder than their words.
