1.模板句型：

首段：

I’m writing this letter to express my regret for ...

I am terribly sorry, but ...

I regret to inform you that I am unable to ...

中間段：

The reason is that ...

尾段：

Once again, I am sorry for any inconvenience caused.

2.全文格式模板

稱(chēng)呼語(yǔ)

（1）表明寫(xiě)信目的；

例：

I’m writing to apologize for ...

Please accept my sincere apology for ...

（2）第二段闡述道歉原因

例：

The reason is that ...

I am surprised to find that ...

（3）第三段表達(dá)歉意。

例：

I am really sorry for ... and I hope no bother has been caused because of my carelessness.

（4）提出解決方法

例：

Would it be convenient for you ...?

Would you please ...?

（5）再次道歉懇求對(duì)方諒解

例：

I apologize again for ...

3.參考范文

Directions:

　　You have just come back from Canada and found a music CD in your luggage that you forgot to return to Bob, your landlord there. Write him a letter to

　　1) make an apology, and

　　2) suggest a solution.

　　You should write about 100 words on ANSWER SHEET 2.

　　Do not sign your own name at the end of the letter. Use “Li Ming” instead.

Dear Bob,

(1) I have returned home from Canada now and I would like to extend my sincere thanks for your help in Canada. It has been one of my best vacations ever!

(2) Back at home, however, I am surprised to find that I mistakenly brought one of your CD home within my luggage, the one which you lent me in summer vacation when I was preparing for a music course test.

(3) I am really sorry for that and I hope no bother has been caused because of my carelessness.

(4) I will send it back to you as soon as possible, so would you please send me your current mail address?
