Have you ever thought of the meaning of cooperating and fighting for the common goals? If so, you may understand what the picture aims to convey. Sitting on a dragon boat, four young men are trying hard to row the boat forward, exerting themselves to win the race. Meanwhile, the caption reads, “Happiness comes out of arduous work.”
The drawing, simple and conspicuous as it is, sets us into considering and pondering its far-reaching connotation behind. It is deeply rooted in the mind of the masses that the spirit of struggle is the stepping stone of one’s success. Cases to this viewpoint are abundant and within easy reach, but the following examples will suffice. We are living in a society in which the phenomenon that hard work will lead to harvests is pervasive: Spirit of Chinese women volleyball team is now highly appreciated by people from all walks of life, which is a team spirit of striving to succeed and never giving up. Just as Lang Ping, a legendary coach named “Iron Hammer”, has put it, “Do not preach spirit of women volleyball team just because of our victories, but it is expected to see how we endeavor. In today’s world, if you have a dream and know to seek cooperation and collaboration to persistently work for it, you will be more likely to make it someday in the near future, though the process may be painstaking.
Taking into consideration what has been argued, we can come to the conclusion that under no circumstance and at no time should we abandon the spirit of cooperating and striving. The clearer we grasp the profound significance of it, the more it would be conducive to the whole country, the society, not to mention all the individuals. Only by putting it into practice can we welcome a happy and fulfilling future.
